    Julie Murphy joined Ansys as Vice President, Human Resources in August 2019. Prior to joining Ansys, Murphy was the Chief Human Resources Officer for Tradesmen International, a construction labor support company, where she transformed human resources to a strategic competency with modern HR information tools and technology, implemented a corporate talent acquisition team and aligned total rewards with business objectives. She previously worked for such companies as Westinghouse, Heinz, Blue Cross Blue Shield and PWC, where she led business improvements through large-scale culture change, organizational transformation and business process reengineering.

    Andy Kincheloe

      Vice President, Global Marketing, Channel, and Go-To-Market Operations

      Andy Kincheloe leads Ansys’ sales, channel, and ACE operations as well as global marketing. Prior to joining Ansys in 2021, Andy was a partner at McKinsey & Company. He also led pricing, financial services, and sales operations as a senior vice president at Dell. He holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a JD from Harvard Law School.

        A simulation industry expert, Walt Hearn leads Ansys’ global sales and customer excellence teams. Walt began at Ansys in 2007, starting as an account manager and quickly grew his responsibilities in sales management. From 2019 to 2022, he led Ansys’ largest and fastest-growing region, the Americas. Walt has led all of the company's go-to-market segments, from our channel partners to territory accounts to our largest enterprise customers. He has personally overseen some of the largest contracts in company history and has led the modernization of our vertical strategy.

        Shane Emswiler

          Senior Vice President, Products

          Shane Emswiler, who joined Ansys as a result of the Ansoft acquisition in 2008, is the senior vice president of products. He has been in the simulation industry for more than 15 years, bringing significant experience to his current role. He previously led the Physics Business Unit and before that, the Electronics Business Unit, after transitioning from chief financial officer of Ansoft.

            Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary

            Janet Lee joined Ansys as Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary in June 2017. She brings over 25 years of legal experience in international technology, finance, intellectual property transactions, litigation and risk management. From 2010 to 2017 she was General Counsel/Vice President, Legal & Intellectual Property for HERE North America. From 2007 to 2010 she was the Director of Nokia Research Center, Legal & Intellectual Property. She served as Assistant General Counsel for America Online, Inc., from 1999 to 2007. Lee was an attorney at Cooley Godward LLP from 1996 to 1999. From 1995 to 1996 she was General Counsel to the Renaissance Capital Group. She was an attorney for Clifford Chance from 1993 to 1995, and for Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison from 1991 to 1993. Lee is a graduate of Stanford Law School.

            Dr. Prith Banerjee

              Dr. Prith Banerjee is the Chief Technology Officer of Ansys. He is responsible for leading the evolution of Ansys’ Technology strategy and will champion the company’s next phase of innovation and growth.

              Previously, he was Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry where he was responsible for IOT and Digital Transformation in the Global Industrial Practice. Prior to that, he was Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer of Schneider Electric. Previously, he was Managing Director of Global Technology Research and Development at Accenture. Formerly, he was Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of ABB, a power and automation company in Zurich, Switzerland. Earlier, he was Senior Vice President of Research at HP and Director of HP Labs.

              Formerly, he was Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Formerly, he was the Walter P. Murphy Professor and Chairman of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northwestern University. Prior to that, he was Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2000, he founded AccelChip, a developer of products for electronic design automation, which was acquired by Xilinx Inc. in 2006. During 2005-2011, he was Founder, Chairman and Chief Scientist of BINACHIP Inc., a developer of products in electronic design automation. His research interests are in electronic design automation, and parallel computing, and he is the author of about 350 research papers in journals and conferences.

              He was listed in the FastCompany list of 100 top business leaders in 2009. He is a Fellow of the AAAS, ACM and IEEE, and a recipient of the 1996 ASEE Terman Award and the 1987 NSF Presidential Young Investigator Award. He received a B.Tech. (President's Gold Medalist) in electronics engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana.

              Nicole Anasenes

                Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

                Nicole Anasenes joined Ansys in December 2020 as Senior Vice President and assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer in March 2021. Ms. Anasenes was a member of the Company's Board of Directors from July 2018 until December 2020. From 2016 until March 2020, Ms. Anasenes served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Squarespace, Inc., which sells subscription software to help customers establish and manage their online presence and stores. From 2013 to 2015, she served as Chief Financial Officer of Infor, a cloud application software company. Before joining Infor, from 2002 to 2013, she worked at IBM in various leadership positions in corporate finance, M&A and market development.

                  President and Chief Executive Officer

                  Dr. Gopal has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer since 2017. In 2016, he served as our President and Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Gopal was appointed an independent director of the Board in 2011 and served in that capacity until his employment by the Company in 2016. From 2013 to 2016, Dr. Gopal was an operating partner at Silver Lake, a leading private equity technology investor. His employment at Silver Lake included a secondment as interim President and Chief Operating Officer at Symantec in 2016. From 2011 until 2013, he was Senior Vice President at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company. Dr. Gopal was Executive Vice President at CA Technologies from 2006 until 2011. From 2004 to 2006, he worked at Symantec, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Earlier, Dr. Gopal served as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of ReefEdge Networks, a company he co-founded in 2000. He worked at IBM from 1991 to 2000, initially at IBM Research and later in IBM’s Software Group.

                  Dr. Gopal previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of Citrix (2017-October 2021).
